PATCH UPDATE #9: FROGS/BATS/RATS
i am held hostage to the crevices of body. it isn’t mine
and i did not ask to be frisked like this by men who see
me as a science experiment, dissecting parts of me
from clavicle-down, jam inside for a salve to only taste
once, their red beady eyes shifting back and forth
as i commit jesteratrocities of the flesh to get away—
it’s all on CCTV anyway, how i hallucinate myself
running away as a pewterhued ghost in a lacywhite
nightgown, the tape set to rewind but never pause.
